Denver Nuggets at Chicago Bulls Betting Preview

06 December 2021

>

Monday, December 06th Denver Nuggets @ Chicago Bulls

The Denver Nuggets just secured a big win over the New York Knicks. This brought their season record to 11-11, and they are No.8 in the Western Conference. They've got a tough team in front of them on Monday night when they head to Chicago to face the Bulls.

If the Nuggets want to win this one, they'll have to leave it all on the court. The question is, will it be enough to win?

The Chicago Bulls are No.2 in the Eastern Conference and have won three straight games. Their most recent win was a 111-107 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. As they prepare to host the Nuggets, the Bulls are working their way to the top of the East.

First things first, though, they'll need to take down the Nuggets. A team that has one of the best big men in the NBA.

Denver Nuggets Betting Preview: Jokic is the difference-maker

In just 27 minutes of playing the New York Knicks, Nikola Jokic scored 32 points. Not only that, he tacked on 11 rebounds, securing a double-double in 27 minutes. It's clear that Jokic is the difference-maker for the Denver Nuggets and will be again on Monday.

Nikola Vucevic will be the player tasked with guarding Jokic on Monday. A hard task for Vucevic to take on, to be sure.

Jokic garners a lot of attention by defenses which aid in the Nuggets' performance. We'd like to see some more output from Monte Morris and Will Barton as well. This is especially relevant as most of the attention is on Jokic.

It's time for these players to step up and contribute more to the offense. The Nuggets offense is 26th in the NBA, averaging just 104.0 points per game.

Chicago Bulls Betting Preview: Are the Bulls back in action?

We don't think that anyone believed the Bulls were going to perform this well at the start of the season. They're already a favorite to win the Eastern Conference and to do pretty well in the NBA Finals.

With Zach Lavine and DeMar DeRozan, there isn't much the Bulls can't do. However, they're taking on a tough challenge to stop Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.

The way that they can win this game is actually pretty obvious, play the perimeter. The Bulls have some incredible scorers and average 109.6 points per game. Lonzo Ball is an amazing distributor and is getting better at his shooting from beyond the arc.

The only area where the Bulls might have trouble is stopping Jokic. We'll have to wait and see what the game plan is.

Our Pick for the Denver Nuggets at Chicago Bulls

After seeing what the Nuggets were able to do to the Knicks, we expect more tonight. Now, that isn't to say we believe the Nuggets will win, just that they'll cover the 4.5-point spread. They don't have a great record against the spread but are 2-1 ATS in their last three.

The main problem for the Bulls is that they don't have an answer for Jokic. If they double him up in the post, it'll just leave someone else open. Although we believe the Bulls will win this game, we think the Bulls won't be able to cover by that much.
