Denver at Seattle Betting Preview/Week 2 NFL Preseason Picks

Denver might have been the most impressive team in the NFL in Week 1 of the preseason as they went into Minnesota and blew out the Vikings. The Broncos are a team that is trying to snap a long playoff drought, and this team just might have the tools to do it.
Seattle suffered a 20-7 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1, and it was not a good performance on either side of the ball. The Seahawks will still be a playoff contender in the regular season, but these games don’t matter.
The Denver Broncos are six-point road favorites in Seattle as they look to pick up a win over the Seahawks.
Broncos Have Battle Brewing
The Denver Broncos have not yet named a starting quarterback for the regular season, but that will be decided this preseason. Drew Lock was the starter in 2020, but Teddy Bridgewater was brought in to compete for the job as well.
Both Lock and Bridgewater were terrific in the preseason opener, and each quarterback wants to keep this competition rolling. Denver has spent some money on adding offensive talent, and it should be another high-scoring game on Saturday.
The defense in Denver has carried the team over the last few seasons, and that unit looked sharp in Week 1 as well. Don’t expect the Broncos to give up a ton of points on Saturday night against a second-string offense.
Seahawks Need to Score
Seattle put up just seven total points in the preseason opener, and it’s hard to see them scoring much more than that in this game. Quarterback Russell Wilson is one of the best in the NFL, but there is no reason for the Seahawks to play him in this game.
The defense was once a dominant part of this Seahawks team, but that hasn’t been the case in recent years. Seattle has looked to build up that unit this offseason, but this game will provide a massive test.
The Seahawks want to keep this to a low-scoring affair as they aren’t going to have enough offense to outscore the Broncos.
Denver Dominates Seattle
Seattle is going to be a better regular-season team than Denver, but that will have little impact on this game. The Broncos have a battle brewing at the quarterback position, and that makes these games have some significance.
Look for Seattle to play better on the offensive side of the ball, but the defense is facing a tough test. Denver is going to be throwing a potential starting quarterback at them for most of the game, and the Broncos will put up some points.
Bet the Denver Broncos -6.0 as they take control of this game and come away with a near double-digit victory.
