Dallas-Washington Betting Preview

The long-running rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Football Team has certainly seen better teams than this year's Thanksgiving Day version. But with identical 3-7 records and a shot at winning the division in the "NFC Least", today's game promises to be competitive. Kick off is 4:30 p.m. ET at AT&T Stadium.

After shuffling through QBs Dwayne Haskins and Kyle Allen, the Football Team may have finally fixed on a signal-caller in Alex Smith. Smith's comeback from a horrific leg injury is nothing short of miraculous and he was able to register his first win in over two years last week against the Bengals. Smith also has some weapons on offense to play with as Antonio Gibson (530 rushing yards) and Terry McLaurin (62 receptions, 871 yards) have developed into legitimate threats. Even during recent struggles, Washington has played well in Dallas and comes into today's contest with a 9-4 ATS record in its last 13 road games versus the Cowboys.

Dallas has also had to deal with a rotating QB situation following the season-ending injury to Dak Prescott. Last week's starter, Andy Dalton, looked solid in leading the Cowboys comeback in a 31-28 win over the Vikings on the road. Ironically, it was Dalton's first game back since being knocked out on a late hit in the previous game against Washington on October 25 -- a 25-3 victory for the Football Team. The four TDs the Cowboyts offense produced against Minnesota were twice the number scored over the previous four games. But Dallas has had trouble keeping the high-scoring momentum alive recently and comes in with an 0-6 ATS record in the last 6 games after topping the 30-point mark.
