Dallas Stars at Winnipeg Jets Betting Preview

08 November 2022 By Cole Paganelli

There are some big NHL games on the schedule on Tuesday night, including one that is set to take place in Winnipeg. The Jets will be hosting the Dallas Stars, and both teams have been playing well to begin the year.

Dallas comes into this game with 17 points on the year, and they have won each of their last three games on the season. The Stars were supposed to be a playoff contender this season, but they look like one of the best teams in the league.

Winnipeg comes into this game with 15 total points, and they have really started to pick things up. The Jets have won four of their last five games, and three of those games have gone into overtime, giving Winnipeg some experience in close games.

The Dallas Stars are the moneyline betting favorites on the road against the Winnipeg Jets.

Stars Scoring Some Goals

The Dallas Stars continue to be a physical team that can dominate the puck, but they’ve now turned into a great offensive team as well. Dallas is scoring 3.8 goals per game, and they have scored on the power play 29 percent of the time.

Jason Robertson has been the biggest offensive star for the Stars this season, as he has scored eight goals and dished out ten assists. Dallas is a veteran team, and they have been able to share the puck to create some great scoring opportunities.

Goaltender Jake Oettinger has gone 5-1-0 so far in net for the Stars, and he is holding opponents to just 1.40 goals per game.

Jets Shutting Teams Down

The Winnipeg Jets don’t have the offense to keep up with the Stars, and they will try to slow this thing down. Winnipeg is holding opponents to just 2.46 goals per game, and they are killing off nearly 83 percent of penalties this season.

Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has been terrific in net for the Jets, as he has gone 6-2-1 while allowing just 2.09 goals per game. Few teams have been able to slow down the Stars this season, and that’s what the Jets will be attempting to do.

Josh Morrissey has dished out ten assists to lead the Jets on offense, but Winnipeg has to find a way to be better on offense. It’s going to take an impressive night on offense to pick up a win in this one.

Stars Shoot Past the Jets

The Dallas Stars have had a great start to the 2022-23 season, but they are playing their best hockey of the season right now. Dallas just continues to score goals on all of their opponents, and they will be able to continue that trend in this game.

Winnipeg has done a great job of slowing down the tempo on teams all season long, but that’s just hard to do against Dallas. The Jets just won’t have the offense to keep up in this game, and they are going to fall behind late and fail to catch up.

Bet the Dallas Stars -1.5 as they go into Winnipeg and pick up a win by two goals over the host Jets.
