Colorado Avalanche at Vegas Golden Knights Betting Preview
10 June 2021

Colorado went a perfect 6-0 in its first six playoff games, but things have taken a turn for the worst. The Avalanche have lost three straight games, and one more loss will end a very successful season.
Vegas has had an interesting postseason experience, but they are playing some of the best hockey of the season. The Golden Knights are a great team on home ice, and they don’t want to make another trip back to Colorado.
The Golden Knights are -139 on the money line in Game 6 against Colorado.
Offense is MIA for Avs
Colorado began this series by scoring seven goals in Game 1, and they have been an explosive offensive team all season. All of a sudden, the Avalanche have just five total goals in the last three games, and they haven’t been generating chances.
Nathan MacKinnon leads the Avalanche with 13 postseason points, and he is one of the best players in the NHL. Mikko Rantanen is also able of taking over a game, and Colorado needs its leaders to step up.
Colorado has actually been solid on the defensive end of the ice, but this team has struggled late in games. It’s time for the Avalanche to unleash all of the team speed in an attempt to break things open.
Experience Paying Off For Vegas
Vegas has been a great postseason team since joining the NHL as an expansion franchise, and that experience is paying off in a big way. The Golden Knights survived a Game 7 in the first round, and they didn’t panic when going down 2-0 in this series.
Marc-Andre Fleury has completely taken over this series, and that has given the entire team a boost. If Fleury is able to hold the Avalanche to just two goals again, Vegas will be able to win the series.
William Karlsson leads the Golden Knights with ten playoff points, and Mark Stone has delivered the big goals. Vegas doesn’t have as much speed as the Avalanche, but they are just as deep.
Golden Knights Roll Over Avalanche
It has been amazing to watch Vegas completely take over this series, and they have the Avalanche flustered and frustrated. Now the Golden Knights will be playing in front of a raucous crowd, and things could get worse for Colorado.
Vegas has figured out a style of play that works for them, and they will use that once again in Game 6. Colorado just hasn’t been able to get the offense rolling, and that will be the case on Thursday night.
Colorado is going to be desperate in this game, and that will also cause them to make some mistakes. Bet the Vegas Golden Knights -2.5 over the Colorado Avalanche as they finish off the series on Thursday night.
