Coke Zero Sugar 400 Betting Preview

Daytona International Speedway will be the host of the 2020 Coke Zero Sugar 400 this weekend. Justin Haley came away with the win a season ago, in the Chevrolet car. Unlike the recent Go Bowling 235, which was held on Daytona's road course, the Coke Zero Sugar 400 will return to the traditional four-turn, 2.5-mile asphalt track, and consist of 160 laps. Denny Hamlin +650

Part of the Joe Gibbs Racing Team, Hamlin has been fantastic in 2020. Denny is coming off a poor finish in Dover, which snapped his streak of Top 5 finishes. Before the trip to Dover, Hamlin had won on the course the day before, and saw back to back runner up finishes prior to that. Hamlin has placed inside the Top 10, 16 out of 25 races this season. No matter where the race is - this guy always seems to be in the mix. At +650, Hamlin is the betting favorite.

Kevin Harvick +1000

After starting last weekend in 17th, Harvick came away with the victory. It was his 7th win of hte season. He also has a staggering 21 Top 10 finishes in the 25 starts this season. The last time he did not fare inside the Top 10 was here in Daytona in the road race. It will be interesting to see what adjustments he makes on the course here. He is second based on betting odds, but in everyone around racing’s mind, he is the top threat. Harvick won this event back in 2010.

Brad Keselowski +1200

Look for the Discount Tire #2 car to sit near the front of the pack all race long. Keselowski has raced in 25 races this season, and been in the Top 10- 18 times and Top 5- 9 times. He is coming off a finish at Dover, where he was 8th place. Brad has 3 wins this season, and most recently a second place finish to start the month in Michigan. Keselowski won this event back in 2016.

Joey Logano +1200

The 30 year old will be the driver of the #22 Ford Car. Logano has two wins this season, and ranks 4th in the overall standings thus far in 2020. Logano’s last race was not the best effort, as he finished 13th. A little concerning for the crew of Logano is both of his wins during the 2020 season came before the re-start. Is this a place that can get him back on top? Logano is listed at 12/1 odds.

Others in Consideration

Chase Elliott +1400

The 5th ranked racer in the world is Chase Elliott. Listed at +1400 odds, Elliott is coming off a 39th place finish. But, Elliott has a win this month. He was able to win the road race right here in Daytona.

Kyle Busch +2000

Last, but not least in our betting preview of the Coke Zero Sugar 400 is Kyle Busch. The 35 year old driving the Snickers car has yet to win a race in 2020. Many around the sport feel he is due and ready. Busch threatened with a third place finish on Saturday last week. Busch at +2000 seems like good odds if you want to make some money.
