Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens Betting Preview

27 November 2021

Sunday, November 28th Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens

We've got an AFC North matchup on the way for Sunday Night Football. The 6-5 Cleveland Browns head to Baltimore to face off against the Ravens. The Browns are fresh off of a 13-10 victory over the Detroit Lions and get a few players back.

Hopefully, these players can bring the offensive boost that the Cleveland Browns desperately need. So, what about the Ravens?

Well, the Baltimore Ravens are 7-3 and are running the AFC North right now. Even better news for them is they'll likely have Lamar Jackson back under center. This is huge for Baltimore, who definitely struggled without him last week even though they won.

At this point in the year, the Ravens don't want to suffer any more losses. Our question is, can they cover the spread?

Cleveland Browns: The Browns come in as narrow underdogs

The spread in this game is actually kind of surprising to us. The Cleveland Browns only come in as 3.5-point underdogs when they face the Ravens. To us, this is odd because they had trouble beating the Lions last week.

The Browns have taken significant blows to their offense, mainly the departure of Odell Beckham. However, some key players will be making a return Sunday.

One of these players is RB Kareem Hunt, who has been cleared to play on Sunday. Hunt is a great receiving back and can contribute to the number one rushing offense in the NFL.

The Browns average 156.8 rushing yards per game, and they'll need every bit of it. The Ravens have an incredibly tough rushing defense, allowing an average of just 88.6 yards per game.

Baltimore Ravens: Is Lamar Jackson actually back to 100%

This is our main concern with Jackson being back in the lineup for Baltimore. The good news is that he's participated in every practice this week, so we trust he's ready.

The Cleveland Browns defense ranks eighth in passing yards and rushing yards allowed per game. Jackson will have to use his legs to spread the defense and move the ball downfield, something he does well.

On the defensive side of the ball, if the Ravens stop the run, they'll stop the Browns. They've done well this entire year at limiting rushing offenses; we don't expect them to have trouble here.

In fact, we believe that this could be one of the best defensive showings from the Ravens this season. In terms of the spread, we have no doubt that the Ravens can cover the 3.5-points.

Our Pick for the Cleveland Browns versus Baltimore Ravens

The Cleveland Browns come into this game with an underwhelming offense. That on its own already makes us lean towards the Ravens.

Once Jackson begins to stretch the Browns' defense, covering downfield will be trouble. These factors, along with the fact the Browns are 2-3 on the road, will lead us to take the Ravens here.

Baltimore doesn't have a large spread to cover, just 3.5-points, and is 7-3 ATS when facing the Browns. We expect the Ravens to win this game at home and cover the 3.5-point spread with no trouble.
