Cincinnati Bengals at Tennessee Titans Betting Preview/Prop Pick

21 January 2022

We have reached the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs, and that means that there are just four teams remaining in each conference. The Tennessee Titans host the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday, and the winner will be the first to punch a ticket to the conference championship game.

Cincinnati won the AFC North Division this season after going 10-7 during the regular season. The Bengals picked up a 26-19 win at home against the Las Vegas Raiders in the Wild Card Round.

Tennessee won the AFC South this season after going 12-5 during the regular season. The Titans are coming into this game with some rest after having a bye and sitting out the Wild Card Round.

The Tennessee Titans are three-point betting favorites over the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.

Burrow Must Lead Bengals

Joe Burrow put up ridiculous numbers for the Bengals during the regular season, and he was also sharp in the first playoff win for the Bengals. Burrow threw for over 4,600 yards this season, and he did so by throwing just 11 interceptions.

Running back Joe Mixon had a solid season as well, racking up over 1,200 rushing yards for the Bengals. Cincinnati is going to have to find some balance on offense if they are going to find a way to win this game on the road.

The Cincinnati defense is also going to play a key role in this matchup, especially against the run. The Bengals simply can’t afford to let Henry and the Titans run all over them, or they are going to be trying to play catch up.

Titans Can’t Win A Shootout

The Tennessee Titans have had a terrific season, but they aren’t capable of winning many shootouts, especially against the Bengals. This team has shown the ability to be completely disruptive on the defensive side of the football, and that secondary has to play well in this one.

Running back Derrick Henry was leading the league in rushing before suffering an injury, and he has had some monster postseason games in his career. If Henry is back to his old form, that it could make for a long night for that Bengals defense.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw just 21 touchdowns to 14 interceptions this season, and he has to be better. The Titans want to take some deep shots down the field, but Tannehill has to take care of the ball.

Titans Take Care of Bengals

Cincinnati has been a terrific story this season, especially after picking up a playoff win in the Wild Card Round. The Bengals have an offense that is capable of winning this game, but they are just going to struggle to slow down Henry and the Titans.

Henry has been an absolute monster in recent playoff runs, and he is going to be ready to go for this game. The Titans still need better play from Ryan Tannehill and the passing attack, but they will be able to run their way to a win in this matchup.

There are going to be some great games in the NFL this weekend, but this one won’t be that close. Bet the Tennessee Titans -3.0 as they win this game by double-digits to advance to the AFC Championship Game.

Prop Pick

Tennessee (-105) OVER 26.5 Points

The Titans scored an average of 24.6 points per game this season with the average increasing to 27.3 during the last three games. The Bengals gave up an average of 21.9 points per game this season with the average increasing to 23.7 over the last three games. Five of the last six games between these two teams in Tennessee have gone OVER.

With Dunkel predicting a Tennessee victory by the score of 30-20, take the Titans (-105) to finish OVER the Vegas team total of 26.5 points against the Bengals.
