CFL Weekly Preview

We are back at it with another slate of 2021 CFL betting picks! We had a fairly successful week last time out; let's see if we can build on that!

Ottawa at Toronto

The RedBlacks just broke a losing streak with a big win over Edmonton last week and now face a fellow Ontario rival in the Argos. Toronto QB Nick Arbuckle has only thrown five touchdowns to six interceptions this season, so Ottawa getting nine points is way too much to back the Argos as such heavy favorites.

We have this game listed as nearly a pick 'em, so take Ottawa to cover as road dogs on Wednesday.

Edmonton at Winnipeg

The Elks are going to miss Trevor Harris badly in this one, as they face the best defense in the CFL and a red-hot Zach Collaros, who is coming off a 417-yard passing game last week in BC. Winnipeg is a 12.5 point favorite, but we have them favored by 26!

This game should be a blowout, and Edmonton's only real hope is dominating time of possession on the ground. Winnipegeasily neutralized BC's rushing attack last week, so the Elks will need all the luck they can get in this one.

Calgary at Saskatchewan

• Vegas Line & Total: Saskatchewan by 3 ½; 43 ½

The Stampeders got the best of the Riders last week, and we think they should be favored in this rematch in Regina. QB Cody Fajardo and the Riders' offense have been underwhelming all season long, and Bo-Levi Mitchell was considered the best quarterback in the CFL before the 2021 campaign commenced.

Mitchell may not look the same as he used to, but it's still hard to bet against him, considering the resume the two-time MVP has put forth for the past few years. Take Calgary and the points, as they should win this game outright on the road as they continue to salvage their season.

Ottawa at Montreal

On a short week, Ottawa would usually be in tough but are luckily facing the reeling Alouettes, who have little to no home-field advantage. QB Vernon Adams Jr has been a model of inconsistency all year long, and the RedBlacks getting more than a touchdown in this match should prove deadly for bettors backing Montreal.

I expect this game to be decided by a field goal, so the RedBlacks should cover in this spot.

Toronto at Hamilton

The Argonauts will also be coming off a short week following their 35-16 win over the RedBlacks on Wednesday. After trailing 9-8 at the half, the Argos exploded for 27 straight points in the third quarter, including a pair of TD passes from QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson and a pair of pick-sixes from the defense.

Looking to extend their winning streak to three straight, we like the underdog Argos in this spot and are calling for the moneyline upset.
