Week 9 of the 2021 CFL season started with a massive upset, as the last place Ottawa RedBlacks stunned the Edmonton Elks on Tuesday, picking up their second win of the season and ending a lengthy five-game losing streak.
There are three more games scheduled for this week, all of which are big divisional matchups that take place on Friday and Saturday night. Here are our picks;
Winnipeg at BC

The Lions are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Saskatchewan after leading for much of the game and blowing a late lead at home. BC was on the cusp of winning four straight and improving to second place in the West Division, but now still find themselves in third.
Although they now face the defending Grey Cup champs, Winnipeg's offense hasn't been anything special through seven games, and BC's defense is highly underrated. Look for the Lions D to continue to make things happen and for the Leos to cover the 3.5 points at BC Place in a very low-scoring battle.
Montreal at Hamilton

Montreal has really crumbled these last few weeks but can still be an explosive offense if Vernon Adams Jr. Makes the right progressions and doesn't turn the ball over.
While the Ticats defense is no joke, they haven't been an offensive juggernaut whatsoever in 2021, and until Jeremiah Masoli and Brandon Banks return, don't expect them to be.
We have Montreal as slight favorites in this one, so taking them +2.5 is our play.
Saskatchewan at Calgary

The Riders prevailed in a Friday night thriller last week in Vancouver, led by an impressive late drive by quarterback Cody Fajardo.
Fajardo has been the subject of social media hate these last few weeks after playing poorly, so it was a huge monkey off of his back to get the last laugh in Week 8. Look for Fajardo's confidence to be at an all-time high in Calgary as he faces a less than stellar Stampeders defense.
Led by defensive back Ed Gainey, the Riders D has been a menace all season long. Other than wide receiver Kamar Jorden, Bo-Levi Mitchell has lacked quality options to throw to.
Saskatchewan is favored by 3.5 in this matchup, but we have them at -7 on the Dunkel Line. Look for the Riders to cover the spread and win at McMahon Stadium on Saturday.
