Montreal at Ottawa

• Vegas Line & Total: Montreal by 6 ½; 42 ½

The Alouettes fell short in their home opener last week but remain stingy on defense and should have no trouble against the RedBlacks, who currently possess the worst offense in the CFL. Vernon Adams Jr. needs to be more consistent, but when he’s on his game, the former Oregon Duck may be the most dynamic quarterback in the league. Look for Montreal to get running back William Stanback more involved, as the 27-year-old is averaging over five yards per carry in 2021. Take the Alouettes to cover and for this game to be low-scoring.

Winnipeg at Saskatchewan

The Banjo Bowl is always one of the most-watched games of the year, and this one will be no different. Saskatchewan is the only undefeated team remaining, and Winnipeg are the defending Grey Cup champs. With the addition of running back Andrew Harris back into the lineup last week, I think the Blue Bombers are being disrespected by the oddsmakers and should actually be the favorite in this matchup. Take the Bombers and the points, plus the under.

Toronto at Hamilton

• Vegas Line & Total: Hamilton by 2 ½; 44 ½

This is another game where the line is totally skewed. Although Hamilton got the first win under their belt last week and are set to play in their home opener Monday, Toronto should finish the 2021 season with the better record. The Ticats offense has been a disaster through three games, and their QB situation remains up in the air for Week 5. Whether Jeremiah Masoli or Dane Evans start, Toronto and the points is the best bet.

Edmonton at Calgary

• Dunkel Line & Total: Edmonton by 4; 49
• Vegas Line & Total: Calgary by 5 ½; 42 ½

For the first time in years, the Calgary Stampeders aren’t a huge threat in the CFL. We’ve penciled them in as Grey Cup contenders for a decade now, but with Bo-Levi Mitchell injured and a lot of former key players gone, Edmonton has the better roster. Trevor Harris is a gunslinger and has elite options with receivers Greg Ellingson and Derel Walker. Running back, James Wilder Jr. is also having a bounce-back season as he currently leads the league in rushing yards. Calgary’s defense is nothing special and should be exposed in this Labour Day affair.
