CFL Week 22 Betting Preview

When fall turns to winter, you know what time it is! The CFL playoffs will be underway. The doubleheader on Sunday promises to be an excellent one-two punch!

The Argonauts will play the winner of the east division semi-final, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will take on the west division semi-final winner. This week promises to be great!

Hamilton at Montreal

There had been a lot of talk about the Tiger-Cats being off a Grey Cup losing hangover. They have most certainly clawed to get to this point; they absolutely deserve it.

While their offense has been inconsistent, the defense has been monstrous, as they feature seven All-star players! The offense has been rather inconsistent, with the exception of All-star Tim white, who the ALS have yet to find a solution to. 

Montreal, while it has proven to be a worthy adversary, just simply does not possess the talent that Hamilton has. They may have a better record and are seeded higher, but they are only separated by a single game. The Alouettes are very close to a playoff run, but it will not be this year.

Even though they are listed as the underdogs, they will likely shatter the hearts of all Alouettes fans as they did the year prior. This is a team that can win and has proven that by keeping every game with Montreal within one possession.

The Stampeders are now in big trouble. Heading into the final stretch of the season, the other CFL teams got the news they were likely dreading to hear. Nathan Rourke is back!

Yes, the Nathan Rourke that was on pace to shatter numerous CFL records and is still at the top of most stat lists despite being out since August. Let’s not forget the star-studded offense around him.

The Stampeders are fighting a huge uphill battle. It is a rather consensus opinion that the Stampeders are a fantastic club.

But with the return of Rourke, it seems wrong to pick any team against the Lions. The future sure is bright in Alberta, but it is not their time right now.

The fact of the matter is that the Lions were able to handle the Stamps without Rourke. Just imagine with him back what that is likely going to be like. It will be a madhouse in BC as they seek to upset the best team in Canadian football!
