CFL Week 18 Betting Preview

It is hard to believe that there are three weeks remaining in the CFL season. With two potential postseason-clinching games, each week becomes increasingly more important! This week features two divisional games and two cross-divisional games. Every game counts! 

Saskatchewan at Hamilton

Time: 7:30 pm ET

This Thanksgiving week begins in hammer town. Two of the bottom-tier teams in each division are facing off Friday night. Both teams search to keep their postseason hopes alive, as this is a key game for both clubs. Cody Fajardo and the Saskatchewan Roughriders are coming to hammer town to face Dans Evans and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The injury bug has caught onto the roughriders, so it makes them a very difficult team to pick. Even with four total wins on the year, Hamilton at home has been excellent at covering the spread.

BC at Toronto

Saturday begins with, what could be, a Grey Cup match. Two teams already in the playoffs, yet neither are willing to sit their starters! Lucky Whitehead and the BC Lions are in the 6 to face Brandon Banks and the Toronto Argonauts.

The Argos have tons on the line this week. They have been playing better football than the Lions as of late and, as a result, should come out with a very close win. BC has been slipping and will continue to slide come playoff time. 

Edmonton at Winnipeg

Time: 7:00 pm ET

Saturday concludes with a west division shootout. The ice-cold Edmonton elks head to Manitoba to face the best from the west, Winnipeg blue bombers. 

Winnipeg has a key scenario in this game, as they will win outright. With a win and a BC loss, they will host the divisional title game at home. This is a very ambitious spread that the bombers have not covered this year very often.

Ottawa at Montreal

This week concludes with a clinching scenario in the east. The last place Ottawa Redblacks head to La belle province to throw down against the rising Montreal Alouettes.

With a win, it will guarantee the Alouettes a spot in the postseason! This is an ambitious spread, as the Alouettes tend to win games by three points or less on the leg of David Cote. While they will win, it is hard to see them covering this spread against Ottawa.
