CFL Week 13 Betting Preview

Labor day weekend and Canadian football? Yes, please! All four games are divisional matchups.

It does not get much better than that! With eight weeks remaining, it is now crunch time for many of these clubs! Let’s preview the Labor day classic weekend!

Ottawa at Montreal

Time: 7:30 pm ET

This week starts with a battle in the East. Both clubs are riding wins in their previous matchups. While one team is much farther ahead in the standings, no team has been eliminated from the postseason.

So what is being said is that there is a chance! Our week kicks off in La Belle Province! Lorenzo Mauldin and the stumbling Ottawa Redblacks (2-8) head to Quebec to face off against Trevor Harris and the hot Montréal Alouettes (4-6)!

It is as simple as saying that Montreal is simply better. In every offensive, defense, and special teams category, the Als beat the Redblacks. Trevor Harris will likely torch the Redblacks defense, and Marc-Antoine Dequoy is poised for another interception! The Alouettes should handily take this one!

Winnipeg at Saskatchewan

Time: 6:00 pm ET

The best of the West shines on Sunday. As the BC Lions will likely take a massive regressive step, both of these teams need a win more than over to stay poised for the postseason!

While these teams stem far apart in the rankings, a win for either side has major postseason seeding implications! Zach Collaros and the top dog Blue Bombers (10-1) head to Regina to take on Pete Robertson and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-5).

In the first of two back-to-back games, the first one will fall in the hands of the visiting Blue Bombers handily! Fajardo will likely struggle against the top-scoring defense, and Collaros will stay poised against the best front seven in the CFL! This will be a close game, and make no mistake about that!

Toronto at Hamilton

Time: 1:00 pm ET

The best way to start Labor day Monday? The battle of Ontario. While many may be sick of this matchup, this is the season finale for these two ball clubs!

The East remains razor tight, but this game could be the shifting of the tides that the East has been looking for. For the final time this year, McLeod-Bethel Thompson and the East-leading Toronto Argonauts (5-5) head to Hammer town to face Tim White and the fading Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3-8).

Toronto has taken two of their last three against Hamilton and should repeat that success. The inconsistent QB play from Hamilton has truly shrunk them. Thompson has found his groove and has been consistently torching the opposition, especially against Hamilton!

Edmonton at Calgary

A Western division matchup to conclude the Labor day doubleheader? How about that! The West remains wide open for either of these teams. Both of these clubs could sneak into the playoffs, but one is more set than the other, no doubt!

Derel Walker and the poor Edmonton Elk (3-8) head to Alberta to throw down against Jake Maier and the red-hot Calgary Stampeders (6-4)!

Many people thought that Calgary was crazy for inserting Jake Maier, but he proved those haters wrong! Maier had a fantastic week and is poised for another great one! Calgary has been outstanding all season but has been inconsistent ATS (5-5).

The spread being 11.5 will make it very tough for them to cover this victory!
