CFL Week 12 Betting Preview

Many of the major pro football leagues are starting this week, but none are in midseason like north of the border.

This week, there are tons of games with major playoff implications, potential blowouts and upsets brewing!

You never know what could happen on any given day for football. This week is forecasted for a high chance of great football this weekend!

Calgary at Winnipeg

Time: 8:30 pm ET

The West division continues to narrow the gap between the leader and the challengers.

This week will be vital in just that. As 2.5 games separate these two ball clubs, the momentum swing will be huge coming out of this matchup. Our week kicks off in the province of champions as Bo Levi Mitchell and the Calgary Stampeders (6-3) head to Manitoba to face off against Zach Collaros and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-1).

This is the third time we will see this matchup this year, and there has been a clear pattern.

That pattern is that Winnipeg consistently wins by seven points. This will likely be true in the following again. Zach Collaros will torch Calgary once again, and the Bomber defense will easily hold their own.

Hamilton at Toronto

The battle of Ontario is live and well this week. After last week's hiatus, the two teams are back at each other's neck. These divisional rivals stand one game back of each other in a very competitive east division.

This game has MAJOR postseason implications. Dane Evans and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3-7) are going to throw down in the six against McLeod Bethel-Thompson and the Toronto Argonauts (4-5).

There has been a huge pitfall for Toronto's offense. They cannot score, and as a result, they struggle. The Tiger-Cats have been a solid team that has finally hit a winning stride with their phenomenal team that was in the Grey Cup just a year ago! 

Saskatchewan at BC

Time: 10:30 pm ET

The West division throwdown is back for another matchup this year! Both clubs are again within striking distance of the first place crown in the hyper-competitive division.

As both clubs are extremely aggressive, they have both found success in the past few weeks. Cody Fajardo and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-5) head out west for the late window against Lucky Whitehead and the BC Lions (8-1).

Even without Nathan Rourke, the BC Lions will still emerge victorious over the Roughriders. The Lions' defense has been unreal, and there are an unreal amount of weapons surrounding incumbent passer Michael O'Connor. The Roughriders are not disciplined, and they struggle heavily with penalty yardage. 

Ottawa at Edmonton

This week concludes with another blunder bowl. The two worst teams in the league go head to head in the final game of this week.

While both clubs have struggled this year, one could emerge from the ashes. Jaelon Acklin and the Ottawa Redblacks (1-8) head to Alberta to conclude the week against Kenny Lawler and the Edmonton Elks (3-7).

The Redblacks are marginally better than the Elks. With both teams being at the bottom of the barrel, Ottawa's offense and defense are simply better than that provided by Edmonton, thus resulting in a similar result as always. A loss for Edmonton.
