CFL Week 10 Betting Preview

10 August 2022

Preseason NFL starts this week, which is very exciting. But in Canada, the football season is well underway! After ten weeks thus far, many teams how disappointed while some others have been doing very well for themselves.

We have two rematches from the previous week and some games fresh off the slate! Come check out this week's CFL betting preview!

Montreal at Winnipeg

Time: 8:30 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Montreal 106.800; Winnipeg 124.753
Dunkel Line & Total: Winnipeg by 18; 54
Vegas Line & Total: Winnipeg by 12 ½; 49
Dunkel Pick: Winnipeg (-12 ½); Over

Week 10 opened with the same matchup as last week. As forecasted, chances are the Blue Bombers will once again beat up on the Alouettes yet again. The dominance in Winnipeg (9-0) does not look to stop as they look to sweep Montreal (2-6) in their two-game series.

The Als have been very undisciplined, which really has killed them. Allowing 21 points in the final frame has been a theme the Alouettes are all too familiar with this season as they have not been able to find any sort of consistency this year.

The Bombers bare a huge resemblance to the 2005 Lions as no team seems to be able to compete with this squad. They have been 7-2 ATS in their games thus far and will likely finish with an excellent record against the spread. This game will be no different as they match up all too well against this struggling Alouettes team!

Toronto at Hamilton

Time: 7:30 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Toronto 111.655; Hamilton 109.020
Dunkel Line & Total: Toronto by 2 ½; 44
Vegas Line & Total: Hamilton by 2 ½; 46 ½
Dunkel Pick: Toronto (+2 ½); Under

Friday night football is yet another rematch between familiar divisional foes. Even without its star weapons, the Argonauts (4-3) seek to dominate their provincial opposition, Tiger-Cats (2-6), in back-to-back weeks. You should get familiar with these teams squaring off as they are set to face each other another two times in the next three weeks!

Hamilton has struggled to give fans any sort of consistency. Their Grey Cup hangover and the two QB system may come to have startle fans as they have been off to a rather rocky start. Without QB1 Dane Evans practicing, we will likely see Matt Schiltz, who will likely do a poor job as his replacement.

The Argonauts' defense will carry them to a win as their offense will likely struggle. Without their two biggest stars practicing, McLeod Bethel-Thompson will have to find some other weapons, which he has not done very well this year. Finding the end zone will likely be a struggle, but field goals will suffice!

BC at Calgary

Time: 7:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: BC 117.707; Calgary 121.138
Dunkel Line & Total: Calgary by 3 ½; 41
Vegas Line & Total: BC by ½; 53
Dunkel Pick: Calgary (+ ½); Under

In the Saturday primetime slot, we get the game of the week. The match has major divisional implications. The BC Lions (6-1) currently stand one game ahead of the Stampeders (5-2) in a razor-tight West division race. Either of these clubs could win this game.

Playing in Calgary is no easy task BC will come to find. Calgary is fresh off a win as they look to stay hot. The Lions may not look to have a weakness; however, it may be more obvious than you might think.

Forcing turnovers is key. It may not stop the bleeding, but Rourke thrown multiple turnovers in games where they have lost, so it is key they do just that.

Both of these teams have remained balanced as we are likely going to be treated to this week's best and closest game. The Stampeders will edge out their opponent just by a hair because of the 100% consistent play of Bo Levi Mitchell's offense!

Saskatchewan at Edmonton

Time: 10:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Saskatchewan 103.804; Edmonton 106.177
Dunkel Line & Total: Edmonton by 2 ½; 54
Vegas Line & Total: Saskatchewan by 5 ½; 49
Dunkel Pick: Edmonton (+5 ½); Over

In the late window of a Saturday doubleheader, there is yet another game in the province of Alberta. Another huge game in the West division. The Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-4) look to shake off a three-game losing streak against the Edmonton Elk (2-6).

The Roughriders will likely win outright here. They are the better team, and the Elks' defense will likely not be able to stop Fajardo's offense. The Elks' defense has been among the league's worst in multiple categories, and they have shown just that with their -145 point differential.

The Roughriders have not pulled away in many games this year. Their point differential remarks they are winning but by so few as they struggle ATS and with point totals. This week will be no different with a very close game!
