Week 2 of the NFL Preseason is nearly complete, but there are still a couple of games that have to take place. The Arizona Cardinals host the Baltimore Ravens in one of these games, and it's a matchup of two playoff contenders.
Baltimore picked up a 23-10 win in the preseason opener over the Tennessee Titans, and they looked impressive in the process. The Ravens have now won an NFL record 21 straight games in the preseason as they always seem more prepared than opponents.
Arizona is also 1-0 after getting past the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1. The Cardinals were in the playoffs a season ago, and they are looking for a repeat performance in 2022 as they have to deal with a tough NFC West Division.
The Baltimore Ravens are 6.5-point betting favorites on the road against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Ravens Continue to Run
While the rest of the NFL has turned into a pass-first offense, that simply isn't the case when it comes to the Baltimore Ravens. The quarterbacks even get in on the action in Baltimore, and this rushing attack will be tough for the Cardinals to slow down.
Malik Willis is expected to be the backup starting quarterback to Lamar Jackson, and he is getting a chance to play in the preseason. Willis rushed for 38 years in Week 1, and he made some exciting plays to keep drives alive.
The Ravens should also get back to being a dominant defensive team in 2022, and that could be on display in this matchup as well.
Cardinals Want to Play Fast
The Arizona Cardinals put up 36 points in a Week 1 preseason win, and the offense did nearly everything right in that game. Arizona didn't have their regular starters on the field, but they still played extremely fast and pushed the tempo all game.
Trace McSorley had a big performance at quarterback in that game, throwing for 163 yards. The Cardinals are going to have to find a way to run the ball effectively when the season starts, and this game will be a great test of that.
The Cardinals' defense is a unit that should be better than league average in 2022, but it also has the potential to be great. Arizona will get a boost from the home crowd in this game, but it likely won't be that significant.
Ravens Roll to Another Win
The Baltimore Ravens just continue to stack up the wins in the preseason as this franchise has gone years without a loss. That streak could be challenged on Sunday in Arizona, but the Ravens always seem to find a way to win.
The Cardinals are going to be a great team when the regular season begins, but they won't have many starters on the field in this one. Baltimore has a young and exciting quarterback ready to go, and the Ravens are going to be a tough team to try and slow down.
Bet the Baltimore Ravens -6.5 as they have another big night on offense to roll to a blowout win over the Arizona Cardinals.
