Pitching a Problem For Atlanta

Max Fried starts on Sunday night, and that is usually a good thing for the Braves. Fried has gone 2-2 with a 4.63 ERA to begin the year, but he will need to have his best start of the year to give the Braves a chance.
Ronald Acuna Jr. leads the team with 15 home runs and 32 RBIs, and he is the heart of a pretty solid Braves offense. Atlanta still has some holes in the lineup, but they can be a nightmare to deal with.
New York Needs Offense
The Mets might be in first place in the NL East, but this is arguably the worst offense in baseball. New York is dead last with just 161 total runs scored, and the .354 slugging percentage is better than just one team.
Pete Alonso leads the team with six home runs and 19 RBIs, but the Mets need much more from their biggest bat. Francisco Lindor has continued to struggle at the top of the lineup, and New York is searching for offensive help as the season goes along.
Jacob DeGrom starts on Sunday night, and he is 3-2 with a 0.80 ERA in 2021. The numbers for DeGrom are absolutely eye-popping, but he needs a little bit of run support in this game.
DeGrom Dominates in Victory
The Atlanta Braves are scuffling a bit at the plate, and things aren’t going to get any easier in this game. Atlanta is familiar with facing DeGrom, but that doesn’t mean that they will find any luck against the superstar.
New York still needs to find a more consistent offensive attack, but scoring two runs might be enough in this game. DeGrom is going to put on a show on Sunday Night Baseball in what will likely be a day off for the bullpen.
