We have reached Week 10 of the NFL season, and there are a couple of big games on the schedule, including one featuring NFC West rivals. The Los Angeles Rams host the Arizona Cardinals in a matchup of two teams that have struggled this season.
Arizona comes into this game having gone just 1-4 over their last five games, and they have been a major disappointment. The Cardinals are now just 3-6 on the year, and they don't look like a playoff contender.
Los Angeles hasn't been much better than the Cardinals, as they are just 3-5 on the year. The Rams are the defending Super Bowl champions, but they might not even reach the playoffs this year.
The Los Angeles Rams are the betting favorites in this game, as the spread is set at 3.0 points.
Defense Letting Cardinals Down
The Arizona Cardinals have struggled in several areas this season, but the defense has been the biggest disappointment. Arizona is allowing nearly 27 points per game this season, and that has just placed too much pressure on the offense.
The Cardinals have been moving the football well on offense, but finding the end zone has been a problem at times. Arizona is averaging 359 yards per game, and they are scoring nearly 23 points per contest.
Quarterback Kyler Murray has thrown for just 12 touchdowns this season, but he has scored two on the ground as well. If the Cardinals give Murray some protection, then he can have a big day.
Rams Have to Score
The Los Angeles Rams are loaded with offensive talent, but they have not been a good offensive team this season. Los Angeles is scoring just 16 points per game, and they haven't been able to move the ball on the ground at all.
The Rams are trying to find someone that can run the football so that they can take some pressure off of Matthew Stafford. Stafford has thrown just eight touchdowns this season, and he has also tossed eight interceptions.
This Rams team just hasn't been able to get things going this season, and they have to figure it out in a hurry. Los Angeles has really struggled against other top teams in the league, and this is one of those situations.
Cardinals Complete Upset of Rams
Both of these offenses have been a complete mess this season, and something has to give in this one. The Cardinals do appear to have the tools to get better on offense, while the Rams just haven't been able to figure anything out.
This game is going to come down to the final quarter, and the Cardinals are a team that has more belief in what they can get done on a football field. Los Angeles just hasn't been able to make winning plays, and that's going to continue in this matchup against the Cardinals.
Bet the Arizona Cardinals moneyline as they go into Los Angeles and pull off the upset and pick up a huge win over the Los Angeles Rams.
