Golfers That Could Win
Justin Thomas (-29.309) has had a string of excellent golf lately. He had a T5 at the AT&T Byron Nelson, won the PGA Championship, and recently placed third in the Canadian Open.
Thomas is a dangerous player right now if other players in the field are not bringing their best at an event. With his strong iron play and consistency in putting, he is a great pick.
Scottie Scheffler (-33.926) might have slightly cooled off from his handful of victories this season. The current number one golfer in the world might be able to throw in another victory to an already legendary performance in 2022.
Will Zalatoris (-34.470) is a great value pick for a guy that likes to perform well on the big stage. With runner-up finishes at the Masters and PGA Championship over the last two years, he has an excellent opportunity to win here.

Tournament Matchup: Will Zalatoris (-120) OVER Tony Finau
Zalatoris has been in the chase during this year’s majors with at tie for 6th at the Masters and 2nd at the PGA Championship. He currently ranks No. 15 in driving distance (312.3) and No. 6 in greens in regulation percentage (70.09%).
Finau is coming off a 2nd-place finish at the RBC Canadian Open, but has not been as strong in the majors with a tie for 35th at the Masters and a tie for 30th at the PGA Championship. He is ranked No. 57 in driving distance (304.2) and No. 28 in greens in regulation percentage (68.25%).
With Zalatoris rated No. 6 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Finau at No. 9, take the longer and more accurate Zalatoris (-120) to put together another solid major and have the edge in this matchup.
Tournament Matchup: Jon Rahm (-120) OVER Scottie Scheffler
After winning last year’s US Open, Rahm hasn’t been a factor in this year’s majors with a tie for 27th at the Masters and tie for 48th at the PGA Championship. But he showed signs he should be ready to defend his title with a tie for 10th at his last tournament, the Memorial. Rahm is ranked No. 5 in driving distance (318.4) and No. 1 in greens in regulation percentage (72.34%).
Scheffler has been up and down in the majors with a victory at Augusta followed by a missed cut at the PGA. He needed a closing-round 66 to finish in a tie for 18th at last week’s RBC Canadian Open. Scheffler is ranked No. 16 in driving distance (311.8) and No. 2 in greens in regulation percentage (71.39%).
With Rahm rated No. 5 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Scheffler at No. 6, these two should both be in the thick of it on Sunday, but take the defending champ (-120) to get the better of this matchup.
