Betting Overview
Even though this event does not have the best players in the field, you can still find value. Some of the appealing golfers at play are coming off of success at the Travelers Championship and have some positive momentum.
This is arguably one of the easiest courses on the PGA Tour, where players normally score around -20. If players can handle the elevation changes and make birdie putts, then they will have a good shot.
Head to Head Matchup to Watch
Webb Simpson (-37.592) and Sahith Theegala (-41.120) are the more appealing duos to watch for this tournament. They are both coming off of solid performances at the Travelers Championship.
Simpson tied for 13th while Theegala tied for second. On paper, Simpson has the better resume and is currently ranked the 60th best golfer in the world, while Theegala is currently not ranked.

Golfers That Could Win
Sahith Theegala (-41.120) is one of the most dangerous players in the field to win here. With his recent second-place tie at the Travelers Championship, he has the best opportunity going forward.
Scott Stallings (-38.966) put on a remarkable performance at the Travelers Championship after opening with a 74. After that, he posted 64, 68, and then a 63. This allowed him to finish tied for eighth and have some positive momentum heading into this one.
Nick Hardy (-38.892) will be playing in his hometown for this event. He finished second on the Korn Ferry Tour and 14th at the US Open. In addition, he also tied with Stallings last week at eighth.
Potential Winning Pick
Webb Simpson (-37.592) is coming off of the T13 finish last week, and his ball-striking looks as good as it has ever been. He has typically skipped this event over the years, but he might be onto something by opting in this time around.
Prop Picks
Tournament Matchup: Charles Howell III (-130) OVER Denny McCarthy
Howell III has made the cut in 10 of 15 events this season with four Top 25 finishes, including a tie for 18th at the Memorial earlier this month. He ranks No. 6 in greens in regulation percentage (70.33).
McCarthy had a strong Memorial (tie for 5th) and followed that up with a tie for 7th at the US Open before missing the cut last week at the Travelers. He ranks No. 144 in greens in regulation percentage (64.31).
With Howell III rated No. 5 in this week’s Dunkel Index and McCarthy at No. 17, take the more accurate Howell III (-130) to have the advantage in this matchup at TPC Deere Run.
Tournament Matchup: Doug Ghim (-120) OVER Mark Hubbard
Ghim’s high-water mark for the season with a tie for 6th at THE PLAYERS Championship. He has been inconsistent since, but did finish in the Top 20 (tie for 18th) at the RBC Canadian Open earlier this month. Ghim ranks No. 45 in driving accuracy percentage (64.57).
Hubbard has been consistent in making the cut in his last four events, but has failed to crack the Top 30 in any of them and is coming off a tie for 46th at the Travelers. He ranks No. 95 in driving accuracy percentage (61.06).
With Ghim rated No. 24 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Hubbard at No. 30, take the more accurate driver in Ghim (-120) to have the edge in this matchup.
