2021 RSM Classic Betting Preview
18 November 2021
The next PGA event is also the last event for the 2021 season. This has been a wild ride following some excitement throughout the previous year.
The RSM Classic features a slightly weaker field, but another great opportunity to make some great money in bets. Since the field is a bit different, you could argue that it is anyone’s event to win.
Tournament Details
Date: Nov 18–21, 2021
Course: Sea Island Seaside Course and others
Watch on: GOLF
Purse: $7,200,000
Betting Overview
Distance off of the tee is not really a big deal here, especially since there are plenty of water hazards throughout the course. Golfers that typically have straight drives and solid iron play will perform well here.
Looking back at several winners from 2015 till last year, most were ranked between 39th and 57th in total driving distance. However, the best putters seemed to have taken the victory, which is essential for any golfing event.
Head to Head Matchup to Watch
Louis Oosthuizen (-27.546) and Scottie Scheffler (-29.303) are two compelling picks to watch perform. Oosthuizen has slid back to the ninth-best position for the world golf rankings, but he has a great opportunity to move forward again here.
Scheffler is a great putter, and coming in at 17th for the world rankings, he makes a great case to win. With previous experience in the Ryder Cup, you have to wonder if he can pull a victory out now in a weaker field.

Golfers That Could Win
Cameron Smith (-32.304) offers an attractive price point for bettors wanting to take a chance. He is a former winner at the Sony Open, with a decent resume heading into this one. However, he has not played here before but should adapt quickly.
It feels like ages since Justin Rose (-32.843) won on the PGA tour, but this event makes bettors drool over the chance that he could win with attractive odds. His performance inside 125 yards lands him within the top 10 in the field, which could shake things up late.
Potential Winning Pick
Scottie Scheffler (-29.303) is favorable for many reasons. His putting is arguably one of the best compared to the field and he has a solid performance at the Ryder Cup under his belt.
His only appearance at this event was back in 2019, in which he finished fifth. Even though there are other names to consider, he arguably provides a competitive shot to take hold of this event.
