2021 PGA: Hero World Challenge Preview

30 November 2021

The Bahamas are an excellent choice for a vacation spot and potentially a good place to live, depending on your reasons. For professional golfers, this also happens to be a great option to compete.

Not only that, winning nearly $4 million against top-quality opponents is something to boast about too. Below you will see how you can get in on the action.

Tournament Details

Date: Dec 2–5, 2021
Course: Albany Golf Club
Watch on: NBC, GOLF

Betting Overview

This star-studded field features a handful of the best golfers in the world competing in one event. There are only a few events not named The Masters where you get to see such talent face off against one another.

Even with a loaded field, it will be tempting to pick a favorite or two. But, the last time this event took place, Henrik Stenson was a +3000 favorite to win, and bettors took a nice chunk of change home.

Head to Head Matchup to Watch

Rory McIlroy (-26.751) and Collin Morikawa (-30.791) will have all the attention on them as they lead the pack for betting favorites. They both bring forth interesting perspectives to this event, which should make it challenging for other golfers.

Morikawa is coming off of a victory at the DP World Championship and also happens to be the second-ranked golfer in the world. However, both golfers have never won or placed second here.

Golfers That Could Win

Matthew Fitzpatrick (-38.191) enters this event on a last-minute decision due to a sponsor exemption. He played well recently, posting a second-place finish at the DP World Championship. He also has a victory in October at the Real Club Valderrama.

Justin Thomas (-24.873) is the second-best ranked golfer here, coming in at sixth. He will need to bring his best game forward, as he has lately, with fourth or better finishes out of his last five starts.

Potential Winning Pick

Justin Rose (-33.180) could be another one of those options to land a huge payday. In a loaded field, it is increasingly difficult to narrow down just one golfer.

Looking at the last three events here, Rose has a third-place finish and two fifth-place finishes. His game compliments this event well, and he has the resume to back it up lately. With the odds showing him as a bit of a long shot, it could be worth throwing some money at him.

It looks like we are in for a close and exciting golf tournament. Also, make sure to check out the latest sports team rankings & power ratings!
