Track: Charlotte Motor Speedway
Betting Overview
Looking at the Toyota’s for this race, they have been dominating in recent events. They have taken victories in four of the last six here, while Penske drivers have struggled historically.
Head to Head Matchup to Watch
Kevin Harvick (121.439) has not been himself lately, but it is still difficult to overlook him. In fact, he has not placed better than fifth when looking at his four most recent Charlotte races. Going head to head, he could very well match up with someone like Logano.
Joey Logano (120.542) has been all over the board at these types of races, with 25th, 9th, 15th, and 17th placings so far. Logano is bound to break out of this slump at some point and could possibly do it alongside Harvick.

Drivers That Could Win
Ryan Blaney (121.530) has a victory on the 1.5-mile track in Atlanta this year. On top of that, he had a third-place finish for the second race at Charlotte last year, making him an interesting pick here.
Chase Elliott (118.146) is coming off a much-needed victory at COTA and arguably has a lot of momentum coming into this one. But for Charlotte, he has three top-four finishes out of his last four attempts.
Kyle Busch (111.223) has had some success over recent years, with his last six starts having five top-six placings. On top of that, four out of his last five races have been a top-four result.
Busch has a victory back in 2018 and has some positive leads in laps in his last seven Charlotte races. His best performance was when he led 377 laps a few years ago.
Potential Winning Pick
Martin Truex Jr. (117.658)
Truex has been able to go out and win two out of his most recent five races here while placing second in one more. He also has five consecutive top-six finishes for this race.
Looking back at his 2019 victory, he led at most 116 laps. On top of his most recent performances, his best one was a 392 lap race lead with a handful of other performances shining through, and makes a strong case to win here.
Prop Play
Top 3 Finish: Kyle Busch (+190)
Busch made no bones about criticizing the track conditions at last week’s COTA. An ill-timed pit stop for fuel and tires ended up costing him as he finished 10th when the race was called after 54 of a scheduled 68 laps.
The 2015 and 2019 Cup champion should shake that off this week at Charlotte, where he has enjoyed major success. He won the race in 2018 while leading 377 of the 400 laps and followed that up with a 3rd in 2019 and 4th in 2020.
He’s also been hot lately with a 1st at Kansas and 3rd at Darlington in the last month. Overall, he ranks 2nd in Quality Passes (863) and Green Flag Passes (1532).
Rated No. 2 in the Dunkel Index, we’ll take Busch (+190) to keep both his season and Charlotte hot streaks going and finish in the Top 3.
