The Tampa Bay Rays (15-9) continued their recent surge with a 6-3 win over the Yankees last night that marked their ninth win in the last 10 games. The Rays' streak will face the ultimate test tonight as they go up against New York and starter Gerrit Cole (4-0, 2.76), who is 20-0 with a 1.94 ERA in his last 27 starts. The second day of the NBA playoffs was marked by major upsets as both the No. 1 seeds - the Milwaukee Bucks and LA Lakers -- fell in their series openers. The LA Clippers were more fortunate in their opener on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks, who were shorthanded for much of the game after Kristaps Porzingis was ejected with two technical fouls.
