The West Virginia Moutaineers (18-7) missed an opportunity to shake up the Big 12 on Saturday when the couldn't pull off the upset against Baylor. In fact, the Mountaineers never gave themselves a chance as they shot just 34.4 percent from the field and committed a whopping 22 turnovers in the 70-59 loss. It was symptomatic of Bob Huggins' team of late as the Mountaineers have dropped three straight heading into tonight's contest versus Oklahoma State. The Cowboys (13-12) have been just the opposite, bouncing back from an 0-8 start in league play by winning three of their last four, including a 73-70 upset over Texas Tech in Stillwater on Saturday. The Pittsburgh Penguins (36-15-6) have been closing in on the Washington Capitals for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division and the trail the Caps by only a point after an 11-3-1 stretch over the last six weeks. Mike Sullivan's team will try to vault past Washington tonight as the Penguins open a home-and-home series with the Toronto Maple Leafs (31-21-8), who have lost five of their last eight.
