In the NBA, the Boston Celtics (10-2) had their 10-game winning streak snapped yesterday in Sacramento, 100-99. The Celts shot just 41.5 percent from the floor while being held under 100 points for the first time since their opening-game loss to Philadelphia. Boston will try to improve on that and get a new winning streak going tonight as they face the Phoenix Suns (7-4), who are coming off a 128-112 win over Atlanta. Tip off is 9:00 p.m. EST at Talking Stick Resort Arena. To get Dunkel's pick for this game and the full NBA schedule, click HERE.
On the college hardwood, the Colorado Buffaloes (2-0) boast two preseason All-Pac-12 first team selections in junior guards Tyler Brey and McKinley Wright IV. Both played well in the Buffs home-opening win on Saturday over San Diego (71-53). They'll try to follow that up tonight as Colorado hosts the UC-Irvine Anteaters (3-1), who opened a three-game road trip with a 69-60 win at Boise State on Friday. Tip off is 9:00 p.m. EST at CU Events Center. To get Dunkel's pick for this game and the full NCAA Basketball schedule, click HERE.
The Washington Capitals (15-3-4) rebounded nicely from their loss to Montreal on Friday night by beating the Boston Bruins in a shootout on the road, 3-2, on Saturday. The Caps return home tonight to host the Anaheim Ducks (10-9-2), who snapped a five-game winless steak with a 4-1 victory at St. Louis on Saturday. Face off is 7:00 p.m. EST at Capital One Arena.
