On the college hardwood, the DePaul Blue Demons started the Gavitt Tipoff Games with a nice upset for the Big East as they knocked off Iowa, 93-78. Week 12 of college football kicks off with a pair of MAC games on the schedule, including the Western Michigan Broncos (6-4) facing the Ohio Bobcats (4-5).
