The Kansas City Chiefs (4-2, No. 3 in the Dunkel Index) haven't been accustomed to struggling since Patrick Mahomes took over the quarterbacking duties last year. But after a 4-0 start, KC has lost back-to-back home games to Indianapolis and Houston. Now the Chiefs find themselves needing a win on the road tonight against the Denver Broncos (2-4, No. 26), who have won two straight after starting off the year 0-4. Game 4 of the ALCS was rained out last night in New York and allowed managers Aaron Boone and A.J. Hinch to shift from what was to be a bullpen day for the two teams to using their Game 1 starters, Masahiro Tanaka and Zack Greinke. Tanaka got the better of that matchup as he threw one-hit ball over six innings to lead the Yankees to a 7-0 win. This year has been pretty much a wash for the UCLA Bruins (1-5, No. 82 in the Dunkel Index) and Stanford Cardinal (3-3, No. 48). The Bruins did have a stunning comeback over Washington State in Week 4, but have reverted back to their losing ways following consecutive losses to Oregon State and Arizona. The Cardinal have begun to creep back from their 1-3 start and come into tonight's contest with a mini two-game winning streak after back-to-back wins over Washington and Oregon State. The NHL card features a big Atlantic Division showdown between the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bruins (5-1-0) have been red hot out of the gate, while the President's Trophy-winning Lightning (3-2-1) have been more sluggish. But Tampa Bay did show signs of getting untracked on Tuesday in a 3-1 win over Montreal with goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy allowing only one goal on 34 shots. Face off is 7:00 p.m. EST at TD Garden.
