The Washington Nationals (93-69; No. 8 in the final regular-season (Dunkel MLB Index) were red hot down the stretch, finishing the regular season with eight straight wins. While it wasn't enough to catch the Atlanta Braves for the NL East crown, it did provide the Nats with a home field for tonight's Wild Card game with the Milwaukee Brewers (89-73; No. 11).  Max Scherzer (11-7; 2.92) will get the start for Washington, while Milwaukee will counter with Brandon Woodruff (11-3, 3.62). The first pitch is 8:08 p.m. at Nationals Park. To get Dunkel’s pick for this game as well as the AL Wild Card between Oakland and Tampa Bay on Wednesday, click HERE.

Heading into the MLB playoffs, it looks to be a Houston-LA Dodgers World Series based on the final regular season Dunkel MLB Index. Houston finished with the top adjusted and pure Index ratings, while the Dodgers finished second in both categories. To get the complete regular season Dunkel MLB ratings, click HERE.

The Nats aren't the only postseason activity in DC tonight as the Washington Mystics are back on the court for Game 2 of the WNBA Finals against the Connecticut Sun. League MVP Elena Delle Donne led the Mystics to a 95-86 win in Game 1. Tip-off is 8:00 p.m. EST at the Entertainment and Sports Arena. To get Dunkel’s pick, click HERE.

Week 4 in the NFL wrapped up last night with the Pittsburgh Steelers picking up their first win of the season, 27-3, over the Cincinnati Bengals. New England and Kansas City remain the top two teams in this week's Dunkel Index after pulling out road wins over Buffalo and Detroit, respectively. To get the full Dunkel NFL Index, click HERE. And Week 5 in college football saw Clemson narrowly escape a major upset by hanging on to a 21-20 win over North Carolina after the Tar Heels failed on a two-point conversion in the last minute. It didn’t cause the Tigers to lose their top ranking in the latest Dunkel College Football Index, though. In fact, the tighter race is between Nos. 2 and 3 where Ohio State has closed the gap with Alabama considerably with its strong start, the latest coming in a 48-7 domination of Nebraska on the road.
