It's been over a century since Utah was able to beat USC on the road, but the Utes (3-0) look primed to end that streak tonight. This steadiness contrasts with the topsy-turvy start for USC (2-1), which began when QB JT Daniels went down for the season in Week 1 and continued last week when the Trojans blew a second-half lead against BYU before losing in overtime, 30-27. Staying out west, the Oakland A's (92-61) continue to steadily cruise toward an AL wild-card position. Winners of eight of their last nine, the A's hold a two-game lead over the Rays and Indians for the top spot. They'll open their final regular-season series at home tonight against the Texas Rangers (74-79).
