After a Thursday night kick-off to the 2019 NFL season, the Week 1 schedule kicks into high gear today with the highlight coming tonight as the defending champion New England Patriots host their AFC rival Pittsburgh Steelers at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots made a big splash earlier in the weekend with the signing of former Pittsburgh WR Antonio Brown, although Brown has been ruled out for tonight's game. On the Steelers sideline, Mike Tomlin's group is looking for addition through subtraction as the team tries to move on from disgruntled stars Brown and Le'Veon Bell and get back to the playoffs after missing the postseason for the first time in five years last season. On the diamond, the Chicago Cubs (76-65) have dropped two straight to the Milwaukee Brewers (73-68) after taking the opener in their series. They'll try for a split today as the two teams wrap up their four-game set at Miller Park. Jon Lester (12-9, 4.19) gets the start for Chicago, while Milwaukee counters with Adrian Houser (6-5, 3.45).
