Week 2 of the college football schedule kicks off tonight with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (1-0) traveling to Rice to face the Owls (0-1). Wake Forest is coming off a come-from-behind 38-35 win over Utah State in the opener when Kendall Hinton scored the game-winner on a two-yard toss from Jamie Newman with just a minute left. Rice came up short in its opener but stayed close to a heavily-favored Army team before losing 14-7. To get Dunkel's pick for this game and the full NCAA Football schedule for Week 2, click HERE.
The St. Louis Cardinals (79-61) continue to sizzle on the diamond, winning 21 of their last 27 games to push their lead over the Cubs to 2 1/2 games in the NL Central. At the All-Star break, the Pittsburgh Pirates (61-79) were just a half-game behind the Cards. But a 17-34 record since then has all but ended their season as the two open up a series tonight at PNC Park. Miles Mikolas (8-13, 4.32) takes the mound for St. Louis, while Joe Musgrove (9-12, 4.67) will get the call for Pittsburgh. To get Dunkel's pick for this game and the full MLB schedule, click HERE.
The WNBA has four games on the court tonight, including a big Eastern Conference matchup between the Chicago Sky (19-13) and Connecticut Sun (23-9). To get Dunkel's pick for this game and the full WNBA schedule, click HERE.
Week 13 of the CFL kicks off on Friday with the BC Lions (1-9) looking to snap a six-game losing streak as they face the Montreal Alouettes (5-4) at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium. To get Dunkel's pick for this contest and the full CFL schedule, click HERE.
And the NFL kicked off its 100th season last night with a game that would have been reminiscent of the low-scoring early days with the Packers holding off the Bears, 10-3. To get all of Dunkel's picks for Week 1 of the NFL schedule, click HERE.
