Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley is two-for-two in Heisman Trophies since coming to Norman after coaching QBs Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray the last two seasons. But he's oh-for-two when it comes to national championships, something the Sooner faithful are desperate to get back. Trying to accomplish that feat after losing those two QBs as the No. 1 picks in the last two NFL drafts would be a tall order, but Riley has given the program hope after bringing in Jalen Hurts from Alabama. Before Hurts was replaced by Tua Tagovailoa, he led the Crimson Tide to a 26-2 record as a starter, including a national championship. Anything approaching that record should make for a banner season for OU, which kicks off its 2019 season tonight against the Houston Cougars. The Phillies (69-65) and Mets (69-66) are technically both still in the NL playoff hunt, but neither seems to be able to muster the necessary run to get in.
