The Yankees-Dodgers series was expected to be close, so it's little surprise the teams split the first two games with New York (84-47) taking the opener, 10-2, and LA (86-45) bouncing back yesterday with a 2-1 victory. The rubber game will be tonight with the Dodgers turning to their ace, Clayton Kershaw (13-2, 2.71), to get the start. Kershaw continues to move up the ladder of all-time LA greats as he just passed Sandy Koufax on the team's wins list. He'll go up against New York's Diego German (16-3, 4.15), who has a long way to go before joining any all-time lists but does lead all of baseball in wins this season. Week 3 of the NFL preseason wraps up tonight with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0) heading to Tennessee to face the Titans (1-1) at Nissan Stadium. These two teams faced each other in the preseason last year with the Steelers winning, 16-6. Pittsburgh has beaten Tampa Bay and Kansas City in its first two preseason contests this year, while the Titans followed up a win over Philadelphia in the opener with a loss at New England last week.
