If the Boston Red Sox are going to make a run in the AL East, this weekend's four-game set against the Yankees at Fenway is critical. The Bosox (56-47) trail New York by 11 games in the standings and were pummeled by the Bronx Bombers the last time the two teams met in late June in London. The Yanks (66-35) haven't slowed down much since, posting a 9-4 record since the All-Star break, while the Red Sox have scuffled to a 7-6 mark. The pitching matchup has Masahiro Tanaka (7-5, 4.00) taking the mound for New York and Rick Porcello (8-7, 5.61) getting the call for Boston.
