The unofficial second half of the MLB season gets cranked up for real today with a full slate of games headlined by a rematch of last year's World Series between the LA Dodgers and Boston Red Sox. The Dodgers (60-32; No. 1 in the Dunkel MLB rankings) sit comfortably atop the NL West standings with a 13 1/2-game lead over the Diamondbacks. The defending-champion Red Sox (49-41; No. 7) have more of an uphill climb as they trail the Yankees by 9 games and the Rays by 2 1/2 in the AL East. Kenta Maeda (7-5, 3.76) will get the start for the Dodgers, while the Red Sox will counter with Eduardo Rodriguez (9-4, 4.65).
