The Golden State Warriors came out of Toronto with a hard-earned split of the first two games of the NBA Finals, but also added to their injured list. Gone for the remainder of the series is valuable back-up Kevon Looney (fracture cartilage) while Splash Brother Klay Thompson was also hobbled with a strained hamstring, although Thompson has been given the green light to play. The wounded join Kevin Durant, who has once again been ruled out. Whether the Toronto Raptors can take advantage will be on display tonight as they take the court at Oracle Arena for Game 3. One team not bothered by injuries is the Houston Astros (42-20). Even without fixtures such as Jose Altuve, George Springer and Carlos Correa, the Astros continue to find ways win ballgames. Last night, they scored seven runs in the final three innings to come back and beat Seattle, 11-5, and extend their winning streak to five straight. Houston will close out the series tonight in Seattle with Brad Peacock (5-2, 3.17) taking the mound against the Mariners' Mike Leake (4-6, 4.71).
