The Denver Nuggets (53-27) were at one time vying for the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Western Conference playoffs. But as we enter the last week of the NBA regular season, the Nuggets now find themselves trying to fend off hard-charging Houston for the No. 2 slot. The Houston Astros are a pick by many to win it all this season, but didn't look like much of a contender when they limped to a 2-5 start. A.J. Hinch's club has been truer to form of late, however, and stretched its current winning streak to four straight with last night's come-from-behind win over the Yankees, 4-3. The Astros (6-5) and Yankees (5-5) will continue their series at Minute Maid Park with Houston sending Gerrit Cole (0-2, 3.00) to the mound in search of his first win against New York's Jonathan Loaisiga (0-0, 2.25).
