The injuries are coming faster than the wins right now for the New York Yankees. Yesterday, the Yanks lost another player to injury as Troy Tulowitzki was forced to leave the game against Detroit with a calf strain. The result was a 2-1 setback to the Tigers that dropped New York's record to 2-4. Manager Aaron Boone will try to patch together a lineup today as New York opens up a series against an improved Baltimore Orioles (4-2). The injury bug also hit the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals. The Caps found out they will be without defenseman Michal Kempny for the next four to six months after undergoing hamstring surgery. Kempny was a key part of last year's title run and was having his best season as a pro this year. The shorthanded Caps (47-25-8) will be at home tonight as they host the Montreal Canadiens (43-29-8).
