Despite losing to St. Mary's in the West Coast Conference Tournament final, the Gonzaga Bulldogs (30-3) head into this week's NCAA Tournament ranked No. 1 in Dunkel's final regular-season power rankings. The Bulldogs barely edged out a Duke Blue Devils team (29-5) that rode the return of Zion Williamson all the way to the ACC Tournament championship. The other top seeds in this year's tourney -- Virginia (29-3) and North Carolina (27-6) -- finished No. 3 and No. 6, respectively, in Dunkel's rankings. The lowest-ranked team to make the field of 68 is North Carolina Central (18-15; No. 283), which advanced by winning the MEAC Tournament. The highest-ranked team to be overlooked by the selection committee was the North Carolina State Wolfpack (22-11; No. 22), who were left out despite a respectable 9-9 record in a conference that produced three No. 1 seeds. In the NBA, the Golden State Warriors (47-21; No. 2 in Dunkel's power rankings) snapped out of their recent funk with a convincing 110-88 win at Oklahoma City on Saturday. They'll have a chance to send another message to a Western Conference contender tonight as the Warriors travel to the AT&T Center in San Antonio to take on the Spurs (41-29; No. 13). The Spurs have won eight straight overall and 10 straight at home. But the Warriors are a slight Vegas favorite which has produced an 11-3 ATS record in the last 14 games in the series. In the NHL, the San Jose Sharks (43-21-8; No. 3 in Dunkel's power rankings) are trying to catch the Calgary Flames in the Pacific Division, but have dropped two straight.
