Vegas Golden Knights at Minnesota Wild Betting Preview | The Dunkel Index

NHL Previews

In what could be a playoff preview in the West Division, the Minnesota Wild will host the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday night. Both teams are going to make the playoffs this season, but this game still has plenty of importance.

Vegas comes into this game with 74 points on the season, which puts them in first place in the West Division. The Golden Knights have won 11 of their last 12 games, and they look ready to make a deep run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Minnesota has been one of the best stories in the NHL this season, and this is a young and dangerous team. The Wild come into this game with 68 points on the year, and they still have a shot at winning the West with a strong finish.

The Vegas Golden Knights are the favorites at -125 over the Minnesota Wild on Monday night.

Vegas Shutting Down Opponents

The Vegas Golden Knights offensive attack gets much of the attention, but this team has also been great at shutting down opponents. Vegas is allowing just 2.16 goals per game, and Minnesota will have to find a way to break through the Golden Knights defense.

Robin Lehner and Marc-Andre Fleury have both been great in net for the Golden Knights, and this duo will make Vegas a tough team to eliminate in the playoffs. Vegas has also killed off 87 percent of their penalties, and there just aren’t many flaws with this team.

Mark Stone leads the Golden Knights with 37 assists and 56 total points, and he really gets the offense going for this team. Vegas has plenty of offensive talent, but it doesn’t take much with the great goaltending that they have.

Minnesota Finding Some Offense

The Minnesota Wild might be a young and inexperienced team, but this team is averaging 3.22 goals per game. Minnesota has given up more goals than Vegas, but this team is still allowing just 2.7 goals per night.

Rookie Kirill Kaprizov leads the Wild with 23 goals and 43 total points, and he will make this team dangerous in the playoffs. Jordan Greenway has a team-high 24 assists, and he knows how to set his teammates up.

Even though Minnesota has been a solid offensive team, the Wild can’t afford to get into a high-scoring affair with the Golden Knights. Playing at home will give Minnesota a big edge in this game, and it’s a great chance to show just how far they’ve come.

Wild Win Tight Contest

The West Division has three of the best teams in the NHL this season, and two of them will be on the ice in this game. Both teams can really score, but the team that is able to control the puck should be able to win this one.

Vegas has been an unbelievable offensive team this season, but Minnesota just continues to find ways to win hockey games. The Golden Knights might be the slight favorites in this game, but the Wild will find a way to get it done at home.

Bet the Minnesota Wild over the Vegas Golden Knights in this huge matchup in the West Division.
