Super Bowl LV Betting Preview

Super Bowl LV is one of the most anticipated matchups in recent memory as it features two great quarterbacks and teams that can really score. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will represent the NFC, and they will take on the AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Tampa Bay has won three straight road games so far during this playoff run, and they have not lost since Week 12. That Week 12 game was against the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Bucs will be looking for some revenge.

Kansas City is the defending Super Bowl champion, and they went 14-2 during the regular season. The Chiefs have been tested in the playoffs, but they have been able to overcome each challenge. 

The Kansas City Chiefs are 3.5-point favorites over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV. 

Buccaneers Need Defense to Dominate

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have gotten great play from their defense during this playoff run, and that will need to be the case again in the Super Bowl. Tampa Bay has racked up seven sacks, and they have also forced five turnovers.

On offense, it is Hall of Fame quarterback leading the way, but this team is loaded with weapons. Brady has thrown for over 286 yards per game, and six different players have receiving touchdowns for the Bucs.

There will be plenty of talk about the Chiefs offense leading into the Super Bowl, but the Bucs can be just as dangerous. Tampa Bay does have an edge on defense, and that unit could decide the game. 

Chiefs Need Balance on Offense

The Kansas City Chiefs led the NFL with 303 passing yards per game but only rushed for 112 yards. The Chiefs have not run the ball well yet in the postseason, and that will need to change in this game.

Patrick Mahomes is going to have a big game, but the Chiefs need to give their own defense a break by extending some drives. Kansas City is going to hit on some big plays, but they need to pick up first downs by running the ball. 

The defense has played well so far in the playoffs, allowing just 41 total points. Getting pressure on Tom Brady will be a huge key for the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. 

Chiefs Go Back-to-Back

It is never a smart move to bet against Tom Brady in the Super Bowl, but his team is clearly the underdog in Super Bowl LV. The Buccaneers have been on a remarkable roll through the postseason, but that run ends on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs simply have too many offensive weapons, and Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league. Mahomes and that offense will find enough holes in the Buccaneers defense to take control of the game.

This game will be tight until late, when the Kansas City Chiefs take complete control. The Chiefs win their second straight Super Bowl, and they cover the spread.
