San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Prediction

MLB Previews

The San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers will wrap up their four-game series on Sunday night. It has been San Diego that has won two of the first three games, and this is turning into an unbelievable rivalry.

San Diego comes into this game with an overall record of just 12-11, and they were scuffling heading into Los Angeles. The Padres are expected to be a playoff contender this season, and they have displayed that in this series.

Los Angeles has gone just 2-4 in their last six games, but they are still off to a great start. The Dodgers bring a 15-6 overall record into this game, and they already have a four-game lead over the Padres in the West Division.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are -125 over the San Diego Padres on Sunday Night Baseball.

Tatis Carrying Padres on Offense

The San Diego Padres have a number of big names in their everyday lineup, but none bigger than Fernando Tatis Jr., the young infielder, has put on a show so far in this series, already blasting four home runs.

Tatis now leads the Padres with six home runs on the year, and Eric Hosmer has been a key contributor as well. Hosmer leads the team with a .306 batting average to go along with a team-high 14 RBIs.

Joe Musgrove starts for San Diego this season, and it has been an interesting season for the starter. Musgrove has already thrown a no-hitter, but he is just 2-2 with a 1.04 ERA.

Dodgers Pitching is Dominant

The Los Angeles Dodgers do everything really well, but few teams can match Los Angeles in terms of pitching staff. Los Angeles currently has a team ERA of just 2.85, and they lead MLB with 15 quality starts through 21 games.

Dustin May takes the ball on Sunday night, and he is 1-1 with a 2.93 ERA on the year. Finding a way to keep Fernando Tatis Jr. in the ballpark will go a long way in this game.

Justin Turner has carried a Dodgers offense that is top-10 in baseball in nearly every offensive category. Turner is hitting .356 with five home runs and 17 RBIs, but he has plenty of help as well.

San Diego Wins Series

This has been an extremely fun and exciting season, and these teams are going to battle it out all season long. The Padres have been the better team this weekend and could easily be playing to complete the four-game sweep.

Los Angeles was able to rally for a win on Saturday night, but the Dodgers have not been playing their best baseball of late. This is a great chance for San Diego to pick up another win as they move closer in the division.

San Diego is going to use its offense to take over on Sunday as they win the third game in Los Angeles. Bet the San Diego Padres over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the series finale on Sunday night.
