Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks Game 4 Betting Preview/Player Prop
Phoenix holds a 2-1 lead in this series, but both of those wins came on their home floor to begin the series. The Suns suffered a 20-point loss in Milwaukee on Sunday night, and they will look to regroup and refocus for this matchup.
The Bucks came into Game 3 needing a win, and they put together one of their most impressive games of this playoff run. Milwaukee still needs to find a way to win a game in Phoenix, but protecting their home floor again on Wednesday night is the first step.
The Milwaukee Bucks are 4.5-point favorites over the Phoenix Suns in this Game 4 matchup.
Suns Must Get Stops
The Phoenix Suns allowed 120 points in the Game 3 loss, and that is not typical of how this team usually plays. Phoenix was the third-best defensive team in the NBA during the regular season, and the defense has played a role throughout the postseason.
Devin Booker leads the team with 26.3 points per game in the playoffs, but the Suns could use a great performance from their biggest star on Wednesday night. Milwaukee has some talented defenders to throw at Booker, but he must find a way to contribute.
The Suns have the ability to shoot their way to a win as well as this team is making 38 percent of their three-point attempts. Phoenix is going to have to score some points to pick up a win in Milwaukee.
Giannis Stars in Game 3
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 41 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the Game 3 win, and completely took control. Antetokounmpo went to the free-throw line 17 times in that win, and he will look to stay aggressive in this matchup as well.
Not only did the Bucks break out on offense in Game 3, but they were also terrific on the defensive end of the floor. Milwaukee held Phoenix to just 100 points and clearly frustrated Phoenix in that win.
This Bucks team is going to look to play fast on Wednesday night, and that formula has worked all season long for Milwaukee.
Bucks Beat Suns Again
Giannis Antetokounmpo just continues to deliver for the Bucks, and this should be another dominating performance on Wednesday night. Antetokounmpo is going to need some help, but his teammates will step up in Game 4.
Phoenix knows that they can still win this series by simply winning games at home, and they won’t be playing desperate. The Suns will keep this game much closer than in Game 3, but they just won’t make enough shots.
Milwaukee is simply too tough to beat at home, and the crowd will play a factor in this matchup as well. Bet the Milwaukee Bucks -4.5 as they pick up another win in Game 4 over the Phoenix Suns.
Chris Paul (-124) Over 21.5 Points
While Chris Paul’s production drop off in Game 3 was not as big as some of the other Suns, his 19-9-0 points-assists-rebounds line was not up to his usual standard for this postseason.
The 19 points were the lowest since Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals versus the Clippers, which was also the last time he had attempted fewer than five three-point attempts before Sunday night. Overall, his 14 FG attempts were the fewest since Game 3 of the conference semifinals against the Nuggets.
The veteran point guard’s scoring has been key to the Suns rise. He averaged 25.5 ppg in the four-game series against Denver and 24.0 ppg in the six games against the Clips. In the first two games versus the Bucks, Paul had 32 and 23 points, respectively.
With Monty Williams’ team looking to bounce back from a poor performance in Game 3, we’ll look to the team-leader – Chris Paul (-124) – to take the offensive reins and go over 21.5 points tonight.
