Los Angeles Lakers at Philadelphia 76ers Betting Preview

NBA Previews

The Los Angeles Lakers look to stay perfect on the road this season when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.

Two of the most storied franchises in the NBA are set to square off on Wednesday night as the Philadelphia 76ers host the Los Angeles Lakers. Both teams have been red-hot to begin the season, and there will be plenty of star power on the court in this matchup.

Los Angeles comes into this game with a 14-4 record, and it has won three straight games. The Lakers are the defending NBA champions, and they look like a solid threat to repeat this season.

Philadelphia is 12-6 so far through the first 18 games, but it is trying to bounce back from a loss to the Detroit Pistons. The Sixers are now led by head coach Doc Rivers, and he has plenty of experience with coaching against Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Lakers are 2.5-point road favorites over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.

Dynamic Duo Dominating For LA

The Lakers have two of the best players in the NBA on their roster, and that duo has been terrific to begin this season. The Lakers are averaging more than 114 points per game while giving up just 104.5 points per night.

LeBron James leads the team with 25.2 points per game, and he just put on a show with 46 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the most recent game. Anthony Davis has chipped in with 21.8 points per game, and that duo will present a massive challenge for Philadelphia.

The Lakers are a more complete team this season, and that does allow them to give their two stars some rest. If the Lakers continue to defend well, then they will remain a tough team to beat.

Sixers Have Some Depth

The 76ers are led by a pair of All-Stars as well, but this team has plenty of talent coming off the bench. Philadelphia is averaging nearly 114 points per game, but it also gives up 110 points per night.

Joel Embiid leads the team with 27.7 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, and he will need to win the head-to-head matchup with Davis. Ben Simmons has chipped in with 12.8 points and 7.9 assists, but the Sixers have two other players putting up a ton of points.

Philadelphia is shooting better than 36 percent from the three-point line, and a hot shooting night will be a key on Wednesday.

Lakers Pick Up Impressive Road Win

This game has the potential to be an NBA Finals preview as both teams have played great basketball to begin the season. Philadelphia has just one road loss so far in 2020-21, and the Lakers have yet to lose a game on the road.

The Sixers have been getting plenty of production from their bench this season, but it will be the stars that need to carry the team on Wednesday night. Philadelphia has to find a way to slow down James and Davis, but that’s easier said than done.

The Lakers appear to be on a mission this season, and they will pick up another impressive road win. This game will be close for a half, but Los Angeles will pull away late.

Bet the Los Angeles Lakers -2.5 over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.
