LA Rams-Tamp Bay Betting Preview
Week 11 of the NFL schedule wraps up tonight with a contest that has major NFC playoff implications as the Los Angeles Rams travel to Tampa Bay to face Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Kick off is 8:15 p.m. ET at Raymond James Stadium.
Last year's game ended in a 55-40 shootout win for the Bucs, but this year's version shouldn't see quite that much scoring as the Rams defense, led by all-world defensive lineman Aaron Donald, has allowed a league-low 16 TDs on the season while being ranked No. 2 overall. Last week, LA (6-3) held Seattle's No. 3-ranked offense to a season-low 16 points in a 23-16 home win. Sean McVay's team has been equally tough on the road of late and comes in with a 4-1 ATS record in their last 5 games as a road underdog.
The Bucs (7-3) rebounded nicely from an ugly loss to New Orleans the week before with a 46-23 rout at Carolina last week. Brady regained his touch (341 yards, 3 TDs), but the big spark came from RB Ronald Jones, who finished with 192 rushing yards, including a 98-yard TD run. Tampa Bay has not been as proficient at home, however, and comes in with just a 2-8-2 ATS record in its last 12 home games.
Vegas opened with the Bucs listed as a 3.5-point favorite and a score total of 48. Dunkel is backing the Rams to pull off the upset as the Index calculates LA as 1 point stronger. Dunkel also has the score going over with a caluclated total of 56.241.
Dunkel's Pick:
LA Rams (+3.5; Over)
