Kansas City-Las Vegas Betting Preview

NFL Previews

Week 11 of the NFL schedule resumes today with 12 games on the card capped off with a prime time showdown in the AFC West between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders. Kick off is 8:20 p.m. ET in the Raiders' new Allegiant Stadium.

The Chiefs (8-1) are looking every bit like the defending Super Bowl champs with their only loss coming against the Raiders in a 40-32 shootout at Arrowhead on October 11. Andy Reid's team has won four straight since then with the last coming against the Carolina Panthers (33-31) two weeks ago. QB Patrick Mahomes had another stellar performance with 472 yards passing and 4 TDs while finishing with a passer rating of 165.40. When Mahomes and the offense are clicking, it's usually a good sign for KC as the Chiefs are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games after scoring more than 30 points in the previous game.

The Raiders (6-3) are a much improved team in Jon Gruden's third season since returning as head coach and come into the contest having won three straight following victories over the Browns, Chargers and Broncos. The win over Denver was highlighted by another strong performance from RB Josh Jacobs, who finished with 112 yards rushing and 2 TDs. Wins against the Chiefs have been hard to come by at home, however, with Las Vegas sporting just a 5-12 ATS record in their last 17 home games versus KC.

Vegas has the Chiefs listed as a 6.5-point favorite and a score total that has crept up to 57. Dunkel is backing Kansas City in this revenge situation as the Index calculates the Chiefs as 14.5 points stronger. Dunkel also sees the defenses being able to keep the score under with a calculated total of 48.956 points.

Dunkel's Pick:

Kansas City (-6.5; Under).
