Betting Overview
Looking at the Genesis Invitational, it is a high status event that is attracting many top players with one of the highest purses so far on the season. Looking at the PGA Tour players that are attending, you will see names like Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, and Justin Thomas.
Another player to add for the list is Bryson DeChambeau. He will be a key player since he has a huge distance advantage when it comes to driving.
Jordan Spieth will make a showing too at this event after he displayed excellent ball striking at two events so far. He performed well at both the Waste Management Phoenix Open and recently at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The top players that play in this event all have several things in common. You will see modest ball strikers, solid scramblers, better than average putters, and golfers who perform well overall.
When you look at those abilities, you can make the argument in two different ways. This can either favor the long distance driver or compliment short and accurate drivers.
Overall, the common theme seems pretty standard at Riviera. If a golfer has great ball striking, a good scrambling player, and has good putting then this spells success.

Golfers That Could Win
Dustin Johnson (6.398)
Johnson is the overall best golfer in the world rankings. He won this event back in 2017 and was a runner up in 2015. He will definitely be within discussion for a solid pick.
Adam Scott (-13.185)
Scott is currently ranked the 22nd best golfer in the world rankings. He is also the returning champion for this event and was a runner up in 2016. He has shown to perform well at this event in recent times.
Bryson DeChambeau (-6.087)
DeChambeau could steal this one away from everyone if they are not performing at their best. Nothing against
DeChambeau, but he is the ninth best golfer in the world and finished fifth last year at this event.
Potential Winning Pick
Bryson DeChambeau (-6.087)
If DeChambeau happens to play well on the short game, he definitely has a chance. His long driving distance is going to be there and could make up a few strokes on a few players.
