Food City Dirt Race Betting Preview
The upcoming race in NASCAR will be held at Bristol Motor Speedway, but it will not have a concrete surface. The asphalt will be covered in dirt, so get ready for some interesting driving on display.
Date: Sunday, March 28, 2:30 PM
Watch on: FOX
Track: Bristol Motor Speedway
This race is going to need a little more research before you dive straight into your favorite driver. You need to realize that this is not your typical NASCAR race with the changes that have been implemented.
The drivers will be competing on dirt, and they have not done this in NASCAR since back in the 1970s. Looking at the competition field, there are a handful of drivers that have previous experience driving on dirt, while others will be exposed to a brand new experience.
Head to Head Matchup to Watch
Chase Elliott (115.649) and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (118.241) are just outside the top 10 for the Dunkel Index. However, Elliott is one of those drivers that is newer to dirt tracks, while Stenhouse has shown to be a seasoned pro.

Drivers That Could Win
Kyle Larson (106.560)
Larson is arguably the best driver here, at least when it comes to dirt tracks. He took care of business by winning half of his dirt races in a midget car last season, so he definitely has a shot at winning here.
Christopher Bell (112.497)
Bell has accomplished a win this year and is arguably right behind Larson as a potential pick to win. Bell is really good on dirt, and at Bristol in general, so he is an appealing option for a better payout.
Potential Winning Pick
Christopher Bell (112.497)
It is not much of a surprise to see a pick that revolves around Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson, as they both have had winnings streaks on dirt tracks. Bell is not yet a large brand name yet, but he is definitely a driver to watch out for.
In his first season, he had finished 20th, had two top fives, and not a single win with 36 starts. For this being his second season, he already has a win and a top-five finish in just six attempts.
You could make the argument for Bell or Larson, but Bell is a great option due to his value and his previous experience on dirt. His driving record includes 26 dirt races in 2014 in addition to three straight Chili Bowls lasting from 2017 to 2019.
